Mr. Russell Wildes, 72

Mr. Russell Wildes, 72, of Hazlehurst, died Nov. 14 at his residence, under the care of Serenity Hospice.
Mr. Wildes was born Oct. 7, 1947, in Jeff Davis County to the late Leon Alexander Wildes and the late Annie Harrell Wildes. He was a veteran of the United States Army, retired from Sunbeam Bread Company, and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond McDaniel.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Smith Wildes of Hazlehurst; daughter, Kimberly M. Morris of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan D. and Kim Wildes of Hazlehurst; brothers, Roy Wildes of Hazlehurst and Ronald Wildes of Hazlehurst; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Nov. 17 at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. David Miller officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
Active pallbearers were Steve McDaniel, Norris McDaniel, Marty Smith, Phil Merritt, Donnie Black, Albert Wildes, and Ron McNeal.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
