Mrs. Jerricene Ricketson Tate, 80

Mrs. Jerricene Ricketson Tate, 80, formerly of Hazlehurst, died Nov. 4 in Jacksonville, Fla., at her son’s home.
Mrs. Tate was born July 12, 1939, in Jeff Davis County to the late Jim Vinson Ricketson and the late Lorena Trowell Ricketson. She was a retired secretary with Bell South and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Tate and brother, Jimmy Ricketson.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise Guffey of Jacksonville, Fla., and son, Joel Guffey of Jacksonville, Fla.; special caregivers, Ann Beuke and Nama Deliaon.
Graveside services were held Nov. 7 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Jerry Wooten officiating.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
