Services for Mrs. Artha Jane Reeves Evans, 98, were held Nov. 10 at Northgate Baptist Church with burial at Hazlehurst City Cemetery. The Rev. Prentice Herndon officiated.
Mrs. Evans was born Oct. 18, 1921, in Lumber City. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late William Allen Reeves and Verna Lee Powell, her husband, Oscar Page Evans and daughters, Mary Ann Evans and Inez Graham. Mrs. Evans passed away Nov. 7.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Alena Evans of Hazlehurst; sister, Aline Tanner of Warner Robins; brothers, Homer Reeves of Bonaire and Wilton Reeves of Alston; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mickey Reeves, Glenn Tanner, Larry Ray, George Evans, James Evans and Jesse Evans.
Miles Funeral Home was in charge.
