Mr. Raymond Davis, 86

Mr. Raymond Davis, 86, died Oct. 3 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Mr. Davis was born Oct. 15, 1932, in Appling County to the late John Davis and the late Elizabeth Lewis Davis. He was the former owner and operator of Earth Movers and Land Clearing, Inc. He is preceded in death by a grandson, David Kyle Shumans and 10 siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Lorine Hall Davis of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law Judy and David Shumans of Graham; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Connie Davis and Kendall and Emilia Davis, all of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Oct. 5 at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeffery Spell and the Rev. Deek Dubberly officiating. Burial was in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Larry Yarbrough, Jamie Hall, Roger Varnadore, Ricky Varnadore, Joel Poe and Mitch Varnadoe.
Music was rendered by Jeffery Spell.
