Ms. Geneva Dyal Spires, 72

Ms. Geneva Dyal Spires, 72, of Milan, died July 30. A funeral service was held Aug. 2 in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae, with burial at Midway Church Cemetery.
A native of Jeff Davis County, Ms. Spires was the daughter of the late Bennie and Jewel Turner Dyal and was the wife of the late Harvey Lee Spires Sr. She had worked at Roydon Wear and Tecumseh. Ms. Spires was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Spires, a stepchild, Stacy Spires, and a great-grandson, Nicolas Lowery.
Survivors include children, Genise Wilkes of Milan, Erin (Paul) Bryant of Blackshear, and Erik Spires of Milan; stepchildren, Rhonda Curtis and Lee Spires, both of Milan; special grandchildren, Bubba Spires and Britteny Spires, both of Milan; brother, Lloyd Dyal of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
