Mr. Bill Nobles, 97
Mr. Bill Nobles, 97, of Hazlehurst, died May 2 at Hazlehurst Court Care.
Mr. Nobles was born April 18, 1922, in Fair Bluff, N.C., but had resided most of his life in Hazlehurst.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, a retired business owner and a member of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Mullis Nobles and son, Wayne Nobles.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Barbara Nobles of Hazlehurst; brother, Ambers Nobles of North Carolina; grandchildren, Michael Nobles, Brandy Butler and Christy Riner; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held May 4 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
Active pallbearers were Skyler Nobles, Memphis Nobles, Hunter Nobles, Chad Butler, Daryl Riner, and Eric Hesters.
Musical selections were rendered by Karen Hutchinson and the Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
