Mr. Mickey Dewayne Rentz, 65

Mr. Mickey Dewayne Rentz, 65, of Hazlehurst, died Jan. 29 at his residence.
Mr. Rentz was born Dec. 15, 1953, in Bacon County to the late John Burton Rentz and the late Sarah Chappell Rentz. He was employed with Lee Construction and was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Renea Rentz, sons, Colby Rentz and Tracey Rentz, and brothers, Jack Cain, George Cain and Randall Cain.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Kersey Rentz of Hazlehurst; sisters, Phyllis Williams, Maudrey Sanders, Hilda Bruce, Jan Jung, and Renee Rentz; brothers, Dwight Cain, J.B. Rentz, Merrell Rentz and Terry Rentz; grandchildren, Trevor and Harleigh Rentz, Trista Rentz, Michelle (Rentz) Jackson Whisenant, Sharie Shuemake, Madison Rentz and Bryce Woodard; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Feb. 1 at Zoar Baptist Church with the Rev. Jinker Horton and the Rev. Ronnie Wilcox officiating.
Interment followed in Zoar Cemetery in Appling County.
Active pallbearers were Mike Cain, Derrell Sanders, Lynk Rentz, Jason Rentz, Bryan Bruce and Chadwick Bruce.
Music was rendered by Ronnie Wilcox Jr.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
