Mr. George (Shot) Hand, 75

Mr. George (Shot) Hand, 75, of Hazlehurst, died Dec. 29 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.
Mr. Hand was born Nov. 20, 1943, in Coffee County to the late Elias Hand and the late Leaty Mae Whittle Hand.
He was retired from Southeastern Freight Lines and a member of Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church. He is preceded in death by his son, Tommy Edward Hand, siblings, Lona Mae Moody, Martha Nell Pridgen, Edna Earl Leigh, Wesley Hand, James Hand and Joe Allen Hand.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Jean Sanders Hand of Hazlehurst; daughter, Sheila Hand and fiancé, David Hamm; sister, Linda Jane Ramage; granddaughters, Ali Grace Hand and Lynsey Brooke Sellers; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Jan. 3 at 2 p.m. at Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Thomas Colter and the Rev. Kevin Sanders officiating. Interment will be in Denton City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ramon Boone, Darrell Hand, Kendall Wilcox, Bobby Williams, Charles Moody and Bennie Sanders.
Music will be rendered by Wendy Colter and Tammy Davis.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
