Mrs. Mattie Lee Hearn Thompson, 98

Mrs. Mattie Lee Hearn Thompson, 98, of Hazlehurst, died Dec. 9 at her residence.
Mrs. Thompson was born May 13, 1920, in Wheeler County to the late Peter Peacock Hearn and the late Rosa Lee Sears Thompson. She was a housewife and member of Shiloh Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack (Jab) Thompson and sons, Leroy Thompson and Jack Thompson.
Survivors include daughters, JoAnn Harrell, Joyce Wood, Betty Jean (Randy) Lilliott, Maxine (Keith) Igou and Sandra Armour; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Dec. 12 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Stinson officiating. Interment followed in Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery in Wheeler County.
Active pallbearers were Cody Bratcher, Chris Bohannon, Roger Wood, Casey Thompson, Jacob Thompson and Shannon Thompson.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
