Mr. William Archie (W.A.) Shuman Jr., 86

Mr. William Archie (W.A.) Shuman Jr., 86, of Hazlehurst, died Dec. 10 at Navicent Health in Macon.
Mr. Shuman was born May 7, 1932, in Brantley County to the late William Archie Shuman Sr. and the late Mary Ella Altman Shuman. He was a veteran of the United States Army, retired from GAF Corporation and member of Southside Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his sister, Wauline Jackson and brother, Jimmy Shuman.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean Rish Shuman of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Kim and Jeff Miller of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, William Howard and Deneen Shuman of Sparta; sister, Jeanette Bush of Hazlehurst; brothers, Jack Shuman of Rincon, Herman Shuman of Hazlehurst, Clinton Shuman of Pooler and Donald Shuman of Brunswick; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Dec. 15 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Deek Dubberly and Keith Turner officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery with military honors.
Active pallbearers were Brandon Rish, Brett Rish, Brad Rish, Jeremy Shuman, Archie Rish and Steve McDaniel.
Musical selections were rendered by Jerise Johnson and Hal Cox.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
