Mrs. Lelia Albertina Borkenhagen McLeod (Tina), 92

Mrs. Lelia Albertina Borkenhagen McLeod (Tina), departed for her Heavenly Home Dec. 8 after a long and joyful life.
Nana Mac, as she was affectionately known by most of her family, was born Sept. 17, 1926, in Titusville, Fla., to Albert J. and Leila M. Borkenhagen. After graduating from Jeff Davis High School in Hazlehurst, she was joined in marriage to James O. McLeod, and from this union, came their three sons, Rick, Stann, and Keith. Living in Georgia, Florida, and a short time in Spain, she finally settled in Thomasville, where she was blessed by her new church family at Thomasville First Baptist.
She is survived by her sons Rick (Connie) of Columbus, Stann (Kathy) of Thomasville, and Keith (Joan), of Ringgold, and her sisters, Virginia Borkenhagen, and Libby (Pete) Turner, both of Hazlehurst. Her pride and joy were her six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both her parents, her brother, Charles Borkenhagen, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Baxley McLeod.
A graveside service was held at Hazlehurst City Cemetery Dec. 11. The Rev. Keith McLeod of Boynton Baptist Church, Ringgold, officiated.
