Mr. Bennie Samuel (Sam) Griffin, 70

Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the funeral for Bennie Samuel (Sam) Griffin, 70, of Hazlehurst, who passed away Nov. 28. Services were held at Dec. 2 in Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church.
The Rev. Thomas Colter, the Rev. Ricky Lilliott and Allen Griffin officiated with burial in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Griffin was born in Bacon County. He was the son of the late Arlie Griffin and Helen Dixon Griffin and was preceded in death by brothers Billy Joe Griffin, Varon Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, and Daniel Griffin, and a sister Elizabeth Griffin. He was a former employee of Hazlehurst Mills and Walmart.
Survivors include wife Mary Jeanette Griffin of Hazlehurst; sons Leon Blanton of Lumber City, Jason Griffin and Sidney Griffin both of Hazlehurst; daughter Kimberly Griffin of Rome; sisters Emily Toler and Arlene Griffin both of Hazlehurst; brothers Edward Griffin, Cecil Griffin and Randall Griffin all of Hazlehurst; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were Jamie Toler, Larry Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Silas Dukes, Harry Hughes and Paul Barton.
