Mrs. Judy Edwards Courson, 70

Mrs. Judy Edwards Courson, 70, of Hazlehurst passed away Nov. 18 in Meadows Regional Hospital in Vidalia.
Mrs. Courson, the daughter of the late Ralph Harris Edwards and Elyse McLean Edwards, was a native Laurens County, and resided in Jeff Davis County most of her life. She was retired from the Bank of Hazlehurst, and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Courson was preceded in death by sister, Donna Mims, and great-grandson, Kyson Williams.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Courson of Hazlehurst; daughters, Gina Rea (Martin) of Hazlehurst, Laura Smith (John) of Eastman; sisters, Linda Parlor (Kenny), Patricia Wilkes (E.M.) both of Hazlehurst, Cynthia Deal (Johnny) of Douglas; brother, Ralph “Bubba” Edwards (Sheila) of Hazlehurst; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were Karson Kirkland, Keegan Land, Kolby Land, Kristopher Kirkland, Kollin Parlor and Courson Hutchinson.
Musical selections were rendered by Ken Parlor and Jeffery Spell.
Services were held Nov. 21 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddis Kirkland and the Rev. Billy Gardner officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
