Mr. Donald Wooten, 82
Mr. Donald Wooten, 82, of Snipesville, died Oct. 19 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas.
Mr. Wooten was born March 5, 1936, in Jeff Davis County to the late Glenn Wooten and the late Evelyn Joyce Wooten. He was a farmer, retired from Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Faye Smith Wooten and wife, Christine Taylor Wooten, twin sons, Ronald and Randall Wooten.
Survivors include, daughter, DeLeice Wood; step-daughters, Sue (Daniel) Reid, Mary Tapley and Janice (Darrin) Toole; sons, Vann (Tabatha) Wooten and Michael Wooten; sister, Winona Hartung; brothers, Thomas Wooten, Ray Wooten and Olin Wooten; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; special friend, Hazle Fountain; several nieces and nephews.
services were held Oct, 21 at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenyon Fennell officiating.
Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Derick Wooten, Brandon Adams, Brandon Courson, Ray “Bubba” Copeland, Sammie Darrell Wooten and Chip Wood.
Musical selections were rendered by Darrin Toole and Eddie Toole.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
