Rev. Curtis Lee Selph, 58
The Rev. Curtis Lee Selph, 58, of Hazlehurst, died Sept. 23 at Community Hospice House in Vidalia.
Mr. Selph was born July 11, 1960, in Appling County. He was a retired school bus driver employed with Jeff Davis County Board of Education and a member of House of Praying Church. He is preceded in death by his mother, Faye Selph, grandmother, Quinnie Selph, grandfather, A.B. Selph and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Dannie Lee and Wanda Sue Selph; sister, Lawanda and Keith Lott and nephew, Jayden Lott; brothers, the Rev. Charles Ogletree (Tonya), the Rev. Joseph Ogletree (Angela), the Rev. Josh Sr. and Brittany, Carmen, Joshalynn, Julia, Jonathan and Charlie Ogletree; special nieces, Heather and Amber Ogletree; special nephew, Josh Ogletree Jr.; special friends, Charles and Ella Vern Warren and Willie Knox.
Services were held Sept. 25 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Ogletree and the Rev. Winfred Nutt officiating. Interment followed in Satilla Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Timmy Mullis, the Rev. Josh Ogletree, Dewayne Allen, Bobby Clack, Charles Warren, Billy Kelly and Josh Ogletree Jr.
Musical selections were rendered by Lawanda Lott, the Rev. Charles Ogletree and the Rev. Josh Ogletree.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
