Mrs. Inez Carter McDaniel, 96
Mrs. Inez Carter McDaniel, 96, of Hazlehurst, died Aug. 3 at the Pavilion in Baxley.
Mrs. McDaniel was born March 6, 1922, in Jeff Davis County to the late Ernest Carter and the late Dessie Branch Carter. She was a homemaker and member of Oak View Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Mr. Otho McDaniel, son-in-law, Wilbur Parlor, sister, Thelma McDaniel and brother, Buddy Carter.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Georgia Sharpe, Corine and Herman Sellers, Cherry and E.H. Claxton and Lydia Parlor, all of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Marilyn McDaniel of Hazlehurst; sisters Mancy Lou Williamson of Hazlehurst, Pearl Cain of Spring Hill, Fla., and Marie Varnadore of Auburndale, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Aug. 5 at Oak View Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Yawn and the Rev. David Barber officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were the Pavilion nurses and staff of A Hall and Lanell Roberson.
Active pallbearers were grandsons, Jeff Sharpe, Darren McDaniel, Kris Sellers, Blake Claxton, Crandall Parlor and Jason Parlor.
Musical selections were rendered by her son-in-law, E.H. Claxton and grandchildren, Jason and April Parlor.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
