Mr. Alvin “Boss Man” Whitehead, 67

Services for Mr. Alvin “Boss Man” Whitehead, 67, who died July 28, were held Aug. 3 at Big Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. C.D. Johnson officiating and doing the eulogy. Internment was in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
Mr. Whitehead was born Nov. 16, 1950. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam J. Whitehead, Edgar Morgan and Hannah Mae Morgan, and his grandmother who raised him, Jennie Ann Jones.
He was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, attended Hazlehurst Elementary and High School, served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve. He loved music, playing the piano and cooking.
Survivors included sisters Annie Mae Tucker of St. Augustine, Fla., Minnie Lee Hall, Hazlehurst, Jeannette Gadson, Annette Pope, Bernice (Marvin) Evans, Bernardette McMillian, all of St. Augustine, Fla., Mary (Marion) Crews, Palm Coast, Fla., and Glenna Morgan, Ocala, Fla.; brothers Edgar (Aspasia) Williams, St. Augustine, Fla., first cousin raised as a brother Cicero Jones Jr., Lumber City; Aunt, Evelyn Sanks, St. Augustine, Fla.; God-mother, Dorothy Harleston, Hazlehurst; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews.
Active pallbearers were United States Army.
Flower attendants were nieces and friends of the family.

    It is so disrespectful to put Mrs in front of my brother name and it’s not a laughing matter!!!
