Mrs. Genia Sammons Clark, 90, of Alamo, died July 16 at her residence.
Mrs. Clark was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Wheeler County to the late Johnny Lawton Sammons and the late Viola Clark Sammons. She was a homemaker and member of Springhill United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eschol Marion Clark.
Survivors include daughter, Christy Tanner (Tony) of Alamo; sons, Larry Clark (Elaine) of Alamo and David Clark of Alamo; brother, Lawton Sammons (Betty) of Cordele; grandchildren, Chad Clark (Debbie), Brad Clark (Melissa) and Tamara Clark Richards (Shane); great-grandchildren, Nick R. Clark, Angel Faith Clark, Dawson Clark, Aubrey Clark, Noah Clark, Alayna Richards and Luke Richards; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held July 18 at Springhill Methodist Church with the Rev. Patrick Brannen officiating.
Interment followed in Springhill Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were members of Springhill United Methodist Church.
Active pallbearers were Chad Clark, Brad Clark, Roy White, T.M. Bridges, Tony Tanner and Herman Bass.
Musical selections were rendered by Elaine Clark and Barbara Miller.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
