Mr. Walter Allen Jackson, 82

Mr. Walter Allen Jackson, 82, of Hazlehurst, died May 19 at his residence.
Mr. Jackson was born Dec. 21, 1935, in Sanford, Fla., to the late Walter Adrian Jackson and the late Mary J. Thomas Jackson.
He was a retired loom mechanic with Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Hazlehurst Church of God. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Jordan Allen Jackson.
Survivors include his wife Sarah Rowell Jackson of Hazlehurst; sons and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Vicky Jackson of Hazlehurst and Terry Jackson of Hazlehurst; brother-in-law, James and Joan Rowell; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held May 21 at Hazlehurst Church of God with the Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson, the Rev. John Nunes and Billy Yawn officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Margie Smith, Inez Garnes, Charlie and Paula Anderson, Bruce and Donna Johns, Ricky and Barbara Hall, James and Vernell Mincey, Billy and Carolyn Yawn, Larry and JoAnn Trowell, Tony and Hazel King, Bruce and Katie Johnson, Gail Hesters and Rex McNeal.
Active pallbearers were Gary Rowell, Tracy Rowell, Gunner Jackson, Skyler Jackson, Colby Powell and Daniel McNeal.
Musical selections were rendered by Terry Hesters.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
