School Board Holds Called Meeting

The Jeff Davis County Board of Education held a called meeting May 28.
Superintendent Dr. Chris Roppe presented the Strategic Waiver School System Contract to the board including the SWSS Draft Contract, Appendix A, and Local Board Resolution.
The board unanimously approved them.
The board unanimously approved the following resignations, retirements, and recommendations:
Resignations: Margaret Rentz – elementary school lunchroom manager; Tina Brantley – middle school Improvement Specialist.
Retirements: Julie Ernst – high school paraprofessional.
Recommendations: Diane Boyett – Pre-K School Nutrition Program (SNP) Assistant; Sherry Newell – middle school SNP Assistant; Hunter Foster – primary school PE paraprofessional; Brandi Newman – primary school special education paraprofessional; Elias Dotson – high school custodian.
