Mr. Donald Scott, 93

Mrs. Donald Scott was born May 7, 1929, along with his fraternal twin, Dorothy, to Robert and Louetta Scott in Hazlehurst. He departed this life at the age of 93 on April 26 in Atlanta. He grew up in Hazlehurst and was baptized at theMt. Calvary Baptist Church. After graduating from Hazlehurst High School, he attended Coyne Electrical College in Chicago, Ill., where he received certification in radio and television.
Scott served his country honorably in the Korean Conflict as a combat soldier and worked at Coke Cola, USA for 34 years as audio visual technician in the advertising department. He was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched.
He was survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Christopher) Johnson; grandsons, Christopher, and Cameron Johnson, all of Atlanta; sisters, twin, Dorothy Harleston, and Betty Kornegay both of Hazlehurst; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Donald was laid to rest on May 2 in Atlanta at the below location at the Murray Brothers Funeral Home-Cascade Chapel.
The Rev. Gary Dean provided words of comfort as the eulogist.

My love to Donald Scott. Donald meant so much to me and taught me so much. I’ve always looked up to Donald. He was an amazing man. I will never forget Donald.
