Mrs. Elizabeth Betty Cain, 93

Mrs. Elizabeth Betty Cain, 93, of Hazlehurst, died April 28 at Bacon County Hospital.
Mrs. Cain was born March 15, 1930, in Jeff Davis County to the late Lott Herrington and the late Willie Lee Spell. She served as the Deputy Clerk of the Superior Court for Jeff Davis County from 1964 to 1980. She was also an active member of Zoar Methodist Church in Baxley, serving as a pianist there for many years. She was a current member of First Methodist Church of Hazlehurst. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed attending the Hunter Opry House in Baxley.
Mrs. Cain was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family and enjoyed hosting family get-togethers like Thanksgiving and Christmas. In her later years, nothing brought her more joy than interacting with her great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cain is preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Buck Cain, son, Dennis E. Cain, and brothers, Otis Herrington, and Glenn Marion Spell.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Tim (Janellda) Cain of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law, Susan (Dwayne) Creamer of Hazlehurst; daughter-in-law, Vanny Cain of Statesboro; grandchildren, Michael (Paula) Cain, Joshua (Lauren) Cain, Matthew (Jennifer) Cain, Kalin (Stacia) Creamer, and Karson (Bailey) Creamer; great-grandchildren, Shelby Cain, Isla Cain, Harrison Cain, Cora Cain, Nell Cain, Willa Cain, Liam Creamer, Evan Creamer, Scott Hendley, Robin Hendley; great-great-grandchild, Aubrey Wright; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Haymons of Ellenwood and Sarah Beth Spell of Hazlehurst; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held in the chapel of Wainright Parlor April 30. The Rev. Jeffery Spell and Jimmie Ryles officiated. Interment followed at Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Cains’ grandsons served as pallbearers.
Music was rendered by Floyd Hunter.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
