Mrs. Mollie Louise Wiley, 73

Mrs. Mollie Louise Wiley, daughter of the late John and Elvira Myles, was born June 26, 1949. She quietly departed this life Nov. 28 at her home with family.
Louise attended Hazlehurst High School and graduated from Jeff Davis High School. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church. She was a very loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Louise was a dedicated citizen who worked faithfully in providing for her family. Louise was a beautiful soul whose infectious character and spirit touched everyone she met.
She is preceded in death by husband Leroy Wiley, daughter Karen Day and grandson, Jamal Day.
Survivors include daughter and son Joanie Carter of Hazlehurst and Leroy Carter (Teresa) of Texas; sister, Lela P. Myles of Hazlehurst; brother, Authur Lee Myles (Mable) of Hazlehurst; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Homegoing services were held Dec. 10 at Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church in Hazlehurst with Reuben Bennett Jr. presiding. Words of comfort were delivered by the Rev. Reginald Cordy.
Thornton’s Funeral Home was in charge.
