XC goes to ‘Battle of the Bigs’

The Jeff Davis High cross country teams traveled to Douglasville Aug. 29 to compete in the Bob Blastow Invitational hosted by Alexander High School.
Over 70 teams were represented in the two race divisions. The JD squads raced in the Varsity #2 Race, which was the strongest of the two divisions.
The boys finished 27th overall (out of 36 teams), while the girls finished 21st overall (out of 29 teams).
We referred to this meet as the “Battle with the Bigs.” Most of the schools were of the larger classifications (4A, 5A, 6A, 7A, and metro Private School).
