Primary School Ribbon Cutting Held

A large crowd was on hand last Thursday morning as the new Jeff Davis County Primary School was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and speeches delivered by key personnel involved with the project.
The school, located on Pat Dixon Road near the Jeff Davis Middle School, will house the Pre-K program and grades K thru 2.
The speakers Thursday included Board of Education Chairman Roger Ogilvie, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Adam Kirby who oversaw the school’s construction, Primary School Principal Dr. Shelly McBride, Pre-K Coordinator Denise Haley and School Superintendent Dr. Chris Roppe.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony was completed, the public was given the opportunity to tour the new facility.
