Indictments returned
The March 2026 Jeff Davis County Grand Jury last week returned indictments against four defendants including a four-county indictment of former Altamaha Bank employee Tabitha Elouise Mathis of Hazlehurst.
Mathis was charged with one count of theft by deception, one count of identity fraud and two counts of theft by taking in connection with her work at the Altamaha Bank’s Hazlehurst location.
The other indictments were against:
Joshua Adam Lilliott, charged with impersonating an officer.
Eddie James Jones Jr., charged with conspiracy to commit possession of Schedule II controlled substance, conspiracy to commit crossing guard lines with contraband and illegal use of communication facility.
Dakota Jordan Harper, charged with child molestation and possession of marijuana, less than an ounce.
