Mrs. Etta Grace Kersey Thomas, 74

Mrs. Etta Grace Kersey Thomas, 74, of Hazlehurst, passed away May 12 at Navicent Atrium Health in Macon.
Mrs. Kersey was born Oct. 27, 1951, in Coffee County to the late John Love Crozier and Alice Conner Crozier.
She was a homemaker and a faithful member of First Alliance Church of Hazlehurst. She had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing wherever she could find a spot. She enjoyed flowers and cherished her special dogs, Little Bit and Buddy. Above all, Grace loved her family and lived life to the fullest. She never met a stranger and will be remembered for her warm and welcoming spirit. Grace was never afraid to share her opinion and was known for her spirited personality, which made her all the more unforgettable.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Benny Kersey, brothers John Crozier, David Crozier, Daniel Crozier, sisters Betty Dills, Judy Hardenbrook and Mary Jane Crozier.
Survivors include her son Benny D. Kersey (Angela) of Baxley; daughter Becky Ann Clark (Glenn) of Hazlehurst; husband Roger Thomas of Hazlehurst; sister Helen Potter of Swainsboro; grandchildren Garrett Kersey (Molly), Allee Kersey and Braxton Clayborn all of Hazlehurst; great-grandchildren Canna and Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held May 16 at First Alliance Church with the Rev. Ron Baams officiating. Interment followed in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
All family and friends in attendance served as honorary pallbearers.
Active pallbearers were Chris Dills, Jeff Johns, John P. Crozier, Wesley Cleveland, Jeffery Toler and Austin Clayborn.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
