Tennis teams serve up dominant performances

Jeff Davis High School varsity boys and girls served up a dominant performance at home against Worth County March 17, sweeping the Rams 5-0 across the board. The victory marked the final region match before postseason play, and both Yellow Jacket squads are entering the tournament with strong momentum.
The boys finished region play with an impressive record, dropping just one match to Brantley County to secure the No. 2 seed. The girls remained undefeated in region competition, earning the No. 1 seed. With top seeds in hand, both teams receive first-round byes and will jump straight into the heat of the region tournament.
Head Coach Mary Katherine Brown shared, “I’m incredibly proud of how these players have battled through region play. We’re heading into a tough, competitive tournament where every match counts. No team can be overlooked, and we’re excited to compete for a region title.”
