Tennis teams have busy week

The Jeff Davis Yellow Jacket tennis teams traveled to Fitzgerald March 3. The varsity girls and boys each earned 5–0 victories over the Hurricanes, completing a sweep on the road.
On March 5, the Yellow Jackets hosted Bacon County. The JDH varsity girls won a close match, 3–2, while the varsity boys delivered another strong performance with a 5–0 shutout.
On March 6, the Yellow Jackets competed in the Vikings Invitational Tournament at McKey Park in Valdosta. Both the girls and boys faced Coffee County in the first round and fell 1-3 to the Trojans.
In the second round, the JDH girls defeated Camden 3–0, while the JDH boys beat Bleckley 3–1.
Both teams then faced West Laurens in the final round. The girls won decisively, 4–0, while the boys secured a close 3–2 victory. Both Jeff Davis teams went on to win the consolation bracket of the tournament.
The Yellow Jackets traveled to Thomasville March 10 and will host a JV match against Coffee and Statesboro March 18.
