Wilkerson makes bid for Senate

Joshua Wilkerson, Democratic candidate for Georgia State Senate District 19, is running on a vision to strengthen rural Georgia, lower economic pressure on working families, and ensure South Georgia has a strong voice under the Gold Dome.
A South Georgia native, Wilkerson says his campaign is built on faith, perseverance, and the belief that real change comes when communities stand together.
“This campaign is about hope in action,” Wilkerson said. “We will keep fighting. We will get in good trouble. And every wall that stands in the way of opportunity for our district — that wall will fall.”
The Democratic primary election will be held on May 19, 2026.
