Claire Stinson fighting the battle of her young life

Claire Stinson, a 17-year-old senior at Jeff Davis High School, is facing one of the toughest challenges of her young life.
At the end of November, Claire, the daughter of John and Michelle Stinson, was diagnosed with Stage 2 Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She is now undergoing chemotherapy at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Claire is known for her athleticism, strong work ethic, positive spirit and determination. She has always been one who gives it her all. Despite her current challenges, she remains in good spirits. She continues to fight with courage, resilience and hope.
Throughout this difficult journey, the Stinson family says they have been deeply encouraged by the overwhelming support from their community and surrounding communities. “Our family has been truly humbled by the love and kindness shown to Claire. From the many prayers and messages of encouragement to meals, fundraisers, and thoughtful acts of support, our community has carried us through some hard days and definitely eased the burden. We are blessed to live in a community that cares so deeply.”
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to their extended family, friends, church family, the Jeff Davis School System and the entire community for standing beside them during this time.
As Claire continues her chemotherapy treatments, the family asks for continued prayers. The Stinson family hopes that the kindness shown to them serves as a reminder of the power of community and the difference that compassion and support can make during life’s most challenging moments.
