Ms. Dorothy ‘Kathy’ Beall, 95

Ms. Dorothy “Kathy” Beall, 95, of Hazlehurst, passed away Jan. 3 at her residence.
Ms. Kathy was born and raised in Bedford, England, where she met and married the love of her life, Benny Beall. She was a devoted homemaker, who traveled to numerous locations while her husband served in the United States Air Force. During his deployments, Kathy faithfully took on the role of both mother and father, often for months at a time.
Kathy deeply loved her family and was a proud mother and grandmother, always eager to share the good things her children and grandchildren were doing. She enjoyed reading, sewing and watching all things sports.
Ms. Kathy was a member of Elizabeth Baptist church, and she will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
Ms. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Kate Massen, her husband of 66 years Bennie Beall, daughter Diane Stull and great-great-grandson Tate Harper.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Gene and Leasie Beall of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Randolph Taylor of Dublin; sister Alma of Bedford, England; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 6 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with her great-grandson, the Rev. Curt Harper and the Rev. Keith Yawn officiating.
Interment followed in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
Honorary pallbearers were her church family, Elizabeth Baptist Church and (Regency Hospice, Jennifer Griffin, Patty Breedlove and Christa Taylor).
Active pallbearers were Binky Denning, Christian Wills, Ron Griffin, Wayne Stull, Joe Howell and Justin Barber.
Music was rendered by E.H. Claxton.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
