Tour of Homes slated for Dec. 4

Every town has a story — and in Hazlehurst, that story is written in the porches, hallways, and front doors of the homes that have stood for generations. This December, the newly formed Hazlehurst Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is proud to celebrate that story by hosting the First Annual Hazlehurst Tour of Homes — an evening that invites the community to rediscover the beauty, history and heart of our hometown.
The Tour of Homes will showcase some of Hazlehurst’s most charming residences, each with its own unique character and history. From lovingly restored older homes to beautifully decorated newer ones, each stop along the way tells a story of craftsmanship, family, and pride in place.
But this event is about more than décor and design — it’s about community. The Tour of Homes marks an exciting first step in the DDA’s mission to revitalize and reimagine downtown Hazlehurst. Proceeds from the event will support early planning efforts and future projects aimed at creating a more vibrant, welcoming downtown district.
Tickets for the Hazlehurst Tour of Homes are available for purchase online or in person at Three Magnolia, located inside the Jeff Davis Hospital front lobby. On the evening of the event — Thursday, Dec. 4 — tour maps will be available for pickup at Allie Lynn’s in downtown Hazlehurst.
Homes on the tour are those of Nikki Moore, Michelle Allday, Cathy Howard, Julie Harper and Elizabeth Oliver.
This inaugural event is more than a tour — it’s an invitation to come together, celebrate the charm of our community, and take part in shaping its next chapter.
