Mr. Davis Lee Morgan, 41

Mr. David Lee Morgan, 41, of Glenwood, passed away Sept. 15 at his residence.
David was born March 6, 1984, in Dublin and lived most of his life in Wheeler County. He was a 2002 graduate of Wheeler County High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Forestry from Swainsboro Technical College in 2005.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and building model trucks. Known affectionately as “Uncle Pawpaw,” he especially cherished time spent with his nieces and nephews. He was a caring soul who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need and was always ready to lend a listening ear. Despite many challenges in his life, David carried himself with a smile and a positive attitude that inspired those around him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his generosity, and his unwavering love for family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents L.E. and Virginia Morgan; maternal grandparents Elbert and Evelyn Phillips; cousin Ronnie Fowler; bonus aunt Shirley Brown; and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his parents Danny and Kay Morgan; sister Danielle Connell (Buster) of Alamo; nieces and nephews Sierra Kaydan, Lane, Ginnie Lynn, Charlie, Oaklie and Cassidy Connell; bonus nieces and nephews Skylar, Raylynn and Wyatt Finch; best friend and aide Nicole Finch; and several special aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held Sept. 18 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Morgan officiating.
Interment followed in Edge Memorial Cemetery in Glenwood.
Active pallbearers were Avery Slater-Simpson, Brent Phillips, Cody Marsh, Derick Fowler, Dusty Phillips, Erick Fowler, Lane Connell and Skylar Greer.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
