Board of Elections makes polling changes
The Jeff Davis County Board of Elections has made changes to three polling locations for the Nov. 4 General and Municipal elections.
In Denton, voters in District 402 (Ocmulgee II) who previously voted at Denton City Hall, will now vote at the Denton Fire Station at 7 W. Georgia Avenue.
City of Hazlehurst voters who previously voted at the Jeff Davis County Courthouse will now vote at the Board of Elections and Registration Office at 15 Public Safety Drive (the former Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Department Office).
And voters who previously cast their ballots at the Jeff Davis County Library — Districts 201 (Altamaha 1), 301 (Blackburn 1), 401 (Whitehead 1) and 501 (Ocmulgee 1) will cast their ballots at the Public Safety Polling Location at 15 Public Safety Drive (the former Jeff Davis County Sheriff’s Department Office).
Impacted voters have been mailed an updated precinct card with the new polling place address. Voters are encouraged to visit the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page (MVP) to view their registration status.
