Mrs. Janice Cleo Morris, 68

Mrs. Janice Cleo Morris, 68, of Hazlehurst, passed away Aug. 22 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas.
Mrs. Morris was born Sept. 16, 1956, in Jeff Davis County to the late Rev. J.W. Morris and Mrs. Linnie Ree Stapleton Morris.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Linnell Morris Braddock.
Janice loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was well known for her love of travel. She loved to visit the beach, loved to read and was a great cook. She loved family and enjoyed big family gatherings (bigger the better), because she enjoyed showing off her macaroni and cheese and lemon lush, which she was famous for. But being a special GRAMMY was her main job, and very important to her, and she played that part very well. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include her husband John Carl Morris of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law Justin and Jennifer Morris of Oregon; daughter Jennifer Corrie Morris of Hazlehurst; sisters Sue (Ben) Duckett of Hazlehurst and Luler Mae (Greg) Nash of Kentucky; brothers A.J. (Janis) Morris of North Carolina, Bill Morris of Hazlehurst and John Earl (Karen) Morris of Baxley; grandchildren Skyler Morris, Ethan Morris and Silas Morris; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Aug. 25 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Wilcox officiating. Interment followed in Palms Memorial Garden.
All family and friends served as honorary pallbearers.
Active pallbearers were Robert Gay, Caleb Belflower, Josh Peacock, Ethan Upshaw, John Hampton and Evin Bisher.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
