Mrs. Charlene Hamm , 71

Mrs. Charlene Hamm, 71, of Baxley, died Oct. 8 at Appling Healthcare.
She was born Sept. 16, 1953, to the late Clarence and Audrey Ford. She was a native and lifelong resident of Jeff Davis County and a member of Hazlehurst Church of God. She enjoyed keeping house, keeping up her yard and flowers, and rescuing animals. She is remembered by her family as someone who saw the best in everyone and helped anyone who needed it. She was a very special Nana to her grandbabies. In addition to her parents and grandparents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Larry Yaughn and brothers Jackie Ford and Jimmy Ford.
Mrs. Hamm is survived by her husband of 25 years Jeff Hamm of Baxley; son Larry Vaughn Jr. (Heather) of Hazlehurst; daughters Maria Vaughn of Pensacola, Fla., and Melody Dawn Bryant (Lonnie) of Hazlehurst; brother Charles Ford (Sheila) of North Carolina; sister Rhonda Taylor (Glenn) of Lyons; grandchildren Larry Vaughn III, Ashey McLendon, Lexi Bailey, Gavin Bailey, Dylan Minton, Bryson, Anzley and Grayson Bryant, Kaitlyn Pacheco and Klay Mullis; great-grandchildren Noah, Lena and Sophia; special friends Charlene Garrett, Frances Taylor and Paula Shumans; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service for close family and friends was held Oct. 11 at Hazlehurst City Cemetery with Jimmy Ryles and Pastor Rick Brown officiating.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
