Mr. Wiley Landon Graham, 77

Mr. Wiley Landon Graham, 77, of Hazlehurst passed away Oct. 21 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after a short illness. He was born Nov. 1, 1946, in Jeff Davis County to Marcus Leroy Graham and Lorene Sears Graham.
Wiley was a member of the graduating class of Jeff Davis High in 1965. He enlisted in the
U.S. Army July 14, 1966, and was honorably discharged July 13, 1972. He proudly served with I Troop, 3d Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment during the Vietnam War from August, 1967, to August, 1968. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Bronze Service Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Marksman (Rifle), Army Commendation Medal w/V Device, Sharpshooter (pistol) during his service to his country. He was a proud member of the Jeff Davis County Veterans Association until his passing.
He had a 38 year long career with Milliken and Company of Alma. During this time that he made numerous, lifelong friends. He had a genuine love for people and was extremely affable and outgoing. He loved to laugh and make others laugh and was always smiling and happy! To know him was to love him.
In addition to his family, Wiley loved the Lord, he loved old time gospel quartet music, the Georgia Bulldogs and the United States. He was a member of Mims Baptist Church. Although, Wiley never had children of his own, he considered his many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews to be his very own. His absence will be felt profoundly by all who knew him.
In addition to Mr. Wiley’s parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Judon M. Graham and sisters Imojean Graham Sweat and Carolyn Graham Altman. Survivors include a brother, Leroy Graham (Elaine) of Hazlehurst; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Services will be held Oct. 234 at 11 from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor John Thomas and Pastor T. F. Yawn officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
Interment with military honors will follow at Philadelphia Church Cemetery in Jeff Davis County. Former Chaplain Carroll Walker of the Jeff Davis Veterans Association will give a graveside eulogy.
Active pallbearers will be Mark Graham, Brent & Garrett Altman, Clay Delk, Hunter Gibson, Coleman & Caleb O’Quinn. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present Milliken employees, very special friends Shirley Walters, Patsy Brantley, Lille Washington, Jackie Welch, Scarlett Griffin, Janie Batten, Timer and Donna Kay Morrison, Ken and Michelle Rigby, Jerry and Londie Mims.
Crosby Funeral Home will be in charges.
