Ka’Cee Allen Jones, 14

Ka’Cee Allen Jones was born Oct. 9, 2010, to Rochester Jones Jr. and Carrie Chandler.
Ka’Cee was a seventh grader at Jeff Davis Middle School where he was an active player for the football, wrestling, and tennis programs. Ka’Cee’s exceptional athletic abilities were acknowledged beyond the middle school. He played various sports for the Jeff Davis County Recreation Department.
Ka’Cee cherished spending time in the country where he would go riding in the big truck with his Papa Al. He loved to go fishing with his grandmother and was known for his huge catches. When he wasn’t participating in sports or being outdoors, Ka’Cee was busy taking care of his family. He enjoyed grilling food for his mother and was always handy around the house. He was a great big brother and quite helpful when looking after his little sister. Aside from riding his dirt bike, Ka’cee always looked forward to playing a good one-on-one game of basketball with his father. Ka’Cee had no trouble making and maintaining friendships. Everyone was always happy to receive his comforting hugs and friendly smile.
Ka’Cee was preceded in death by his grandfather John Chandler; aunt Janell Baker; and cousin Matthew Barnhill.
Survivors include his parents Carrie Chandler and Rochester Jones Jr.; grandparents Sylvia Chandler, Rochester Sr. and Lynn Jones; brothers Tre’Vyous Chandler (Amillia), Tyler Jones, Koby Altman, and Ayden Cray; sisters Serenity Carter, Amora Hall, Raniyah Jones, and Taliyah Jones; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
