Mrs. Wendy Glendoria Gadson Turner, 65

Wendy Glendoria Gadson Turner was born in Hazlehurst, Georgia on December 17, 1959 to Melvin and Olivia Gadson. Wendy moved to Jacksonville, FL as a young child and graduated from Paxon High School in 1977. After graduating, she remained in Jacksonville for many years. She reconnected with her first love, Marvin “Mush” Turner, and returned to Hazlehurst, Georgia after they wed on June 21, 2014.
Wendy loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. While in Hazlehurst, she was an active member of Big Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Wendy loved her family and capturing memories in pictures. You could always count on her to be present for life events and always be the one to capture the moment. Wendy was a dog lover and adored her many fur babies.
Wendy was called home on August 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Gadson and brother, Frank Gadson.
Wendy leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Marvin Turner of Hazlehurst; a loving mother, Olivia Gadson; devoted children, Franchetta Dumas and Brandon Dumas; adoring grandchildren Christopher Moore, Jr., Alexis Jackson, Aaliyah Jackson, and Davon Creech; 3 precious great grandchildren Tyrell Campbell, JaSai Austin, and Ty’liyah Campbell; Two loving sisters, Tajuana Miles of Jacksonville, FL and Sharon Gadson of New York, NY; a caring brother, Rodrick Gadson of Jacksonville, FL; 3 sisters-in-law, Violet Gadson of Charleston, SC, Flora Roby and Brenda Turner, of Hazlehurst, GA; brothers-in-law Marion Alston of Hazlehurst, GA and Vernon Turner of Statesboro, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Homegoing services for Wendy Gadson Turner were held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church in Hazlehurst, GA. Pastor Eddie Harmon presided over the services while Pastor Christopher D. Johnson delivered words of comfort.
