Mrs. Bonnie L. Wood, 88

Mrs. Bonnie L. Wood, 88, of Lecanto, Fla., passed away Aug. 11 at Brentwood Retirement Community under the care of VITAS Hospice.
Bonnie was born June 18, 1936, to the late Raliegh and Earnestine McLoon of Hazlehurst. The family moved to Ft. Myers, Fla., when she was in her teens. She was a homemaker who enjoyed southern cooking, gardening, and taking care of her family. Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carter B. Wood.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda A. Bosse and husband Chris of Lecanto, Fla.; son Michael B. Wood of Lecanto, Fla.; grandchildren Richard Mann III, Aimee L. Mann, Michael E. Wood, and Betrina Wood; and eight great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service was held Aug. 15 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazlehurst with Pastor Keith Yawn of Elizabeth Baptist Church officiating.
Miles Funeral Home was in charge.
