Ms. Willie Pearl Altman Brewer, 87, Jeff Davis County, left this earth July 10 to be with our Heavenly Father and loved ones gone before.
She was born Dec. 12, 1936, in Coffee County.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie B and Maggie Pearl Wright Long, husbands Marvin Altman and Randy Brewer.
She was one of the kindest, most good-hearted people you could have ever known. Always smiling and never complaining. She was an excellent cook, loved her Fox News and loved her pets. She was also the best Mother, Nanny and Nanny Brewer we could have ever wished for. Those who knew her would say they were truly blessed by her kind heart, sweet soul and gentle nature. Mama, you will always be in our hearts and souls. We miss you tremendously but we know we will see you again. While small in stature, she was a forceful protector of her family, and we know she’s still protecting us from above. She’s already paying us little visits to let us know she is safe and at peace. Rejoice, rest peacefully and fly high. We love You.
Survivors include her son Rickey A. Altman (Jeffrey Erickson) of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter Marlene A. Reynolds (Chester Sellers) of Hazlehurst; sister Imogene Carter of Hazlehurst; grandson Christopher Reynolds (Candice) of Hazlehurst; great-grandchildren Jasmine, J.P., T.J., Emi, Jayden, and Tate; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held July 18 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor with the Rev. David Miller and the Rev. Nathan Greer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
The family can be contacted at her grandson Christopher Reynold’ residence, 127 Red Bird Lane, Hazlehurst.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge.
