Mr. Leighton Dewayne Walsh, 23

Mr. Leighton Dewayne Walsh, 23, of Brunswick, died July 31 at his residence.
He was born July 16, 2001, in Mayfield, Ohio. He moved to Lumber City in middle school and settled in Brunswick after graduating from Jeff Davis High School in 2019. He was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. He was the life of the party and loved to make people laugh. He also loved music, fishing, and playing the guitar.
Leighton is survived by his father, Jeffrey Walsh; fiancé Zaddy Juarbe of Hope Mills, N.C.; mother Carrie Bell of Lumber City; brother Joseph Bell of Lumber City; sisters Cassidy Walsh of Leander, Texas, and Gracie Walsh of Rome; paternal grandparents Ricky and Patricia Smith of Hazlehurst; maternal grandmother Cynthia Duncan of Lumber City; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
