Mrs. Dorothy J. Clark Ridder, 81

Services for Mrs. Dorothy J. Clark Ridder, 81, who died March 20, were held March 30 at Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church with Elder Eddie Harmon presiding. Burial was in Hazlehurst Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Ridder was born June 18, 1942, in West Green to Samuel and Jeannie Mae (Wood) Cooper. She joined House of Prayer in Lumber City where her grandmother, Josie Lee Wood, was pastor.
Mrs. Ridder attended Telfair County schools and moved to New Jersey in the 1950s where she worked at Harvard’s Printing Company with her sisters, Mamie and Rhonda. She returned to Georgia in the 1990s, attended technical college, obtained her certified nursing assistant certification and worked as a CNA until retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; adopted mother Almedia B. Mann; son Rodney M. Clark Sr.; sisters Mamie Cooper and Rhonda Cooper-Smith; brothers Thomas Cooper, Samuel Cooper Jr., and Sammie Cooper.
Survivors include her husband John H. Ridder; sons Richard Clark, Raydell Clark and Rodney Clark II; sisters Carolyn Cooper, Katie Wynn, Wanda (Terry) Andrews, Bernice Conaway, Debra Henry and Jacqueline Barnes; brothers Anthony Cooper, Marvin (Gwen) Mann and Wayne Bennett; aunts Glenda Wood, Josephine Burch and Mary Wilcox; special niece Bridgette (Thomas) Clark; goddaughter Yatasha Cooper; daughters-in-law Angela Clark, Tasha Clark and Makeela Fedrick; special friends Gwendolyn Ricks and Evon McKever; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Active pallbearers were Aaron Clark, Marquise Cooper, Boston Bailey, Deron Ellington, Jeremiah Reed and Timothy Kates. Floral attendants were granddaughters and nieces.
King Brothers Funeral Home and Cremation Services was in charge.
