According to Appling County Sheriff Mark Melton, Laken DeLoach of Baxley reported to Appling County Sheriff’s Office Monday and was served with six arrest warrants by the Georgia State Patrol Specialized Crash Reconstruction Team.
DeLoach has been charged with homicide by vehicle-1st degree, serious injury by vehicle, driving under the influence, reckless driving, speeding, and failure to drive within a single lane. The charges stem from an accident reported last week that left De’Angelo “Dee” Adams of Hazlehurst dead.
DeLoach was released due to her medical condition. She will be required to report back to the Appling County Detention Center April 15 for a medical update.
