Ms. Martha Ann Rowland, 65

Ms. Martha Ann Rowland, 65, of Hazlehurst passed away March 7 after a lengthy illness under the care of Coastal Hospice.
She was born July 30, 1958, in Jeff Davis County and lived in Jacksonville, Fla., and Perry for several years prior to returning to Hazlehurst.
She is preceded in death by her parents John (Sam) and Bessie Rowland, brothers Milledge (Nell), John (Ann), Harry, and Bobby (Jackie) Rowland.
Martha leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and kindness that will be forever cherished by her family and friends.
Survivors include her sister Emma Childers, Orange Park, Fla.; brothers Jim Rowland (Darrel), Atlanta, Donnie Rowland, Neubern Rowland of Hazlehurst; and sister-in-law, Marie Rowland of Hazlehurst; cherished nieces, nephews, friends; special friend, Sheila Walls.
Martha was an avid lover of all things furry, finding immense joy and companionship in her beloved pets Buddie, Tucker, and Chico. Their presence brought warmth and comfort to her life, and they will dearly miss their devoted companion. Throughout her life’s journey, Martha touched countless hearts with her kindness, compassion, and joyful spirit. Her genuine care and concern for others left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew her, earning her the love and admiration of many.
Services were held March 10 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Bro. Hal Jeffcoat officiating. Interment followed in Liberty Community Church Cemetery.
Pallbeares were Buddy Dingman, Jimmy Priest, Chris Rowland, Jack Rowland, Shane Hampton, and Randon Edge.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
