Mrs. Vickie Diane Johnson Herrington, 63

Mrs. Vickie Diane Johnson Herrington, 63, a loving homemaker and dedicated former employee at Julie’s Specialties in Baxley, peacefully passed away Jan. 20 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. She was born Oct. 5, 1960, in Jacksonville, Fla., to her Jewell Faye Adams Hollar and William “Bill” Johnson. Vickie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all.
Vickie’s warm and caring nature shone through in every aspect of her life. She cherished spending time with her family and especially adored her grandchildren. Vickie’s love for her family was evident in the joy and laughter she shared during their gatherings.
In her spare time, Vickie had a passion for reading books and indulging in crime mysteries. The thrill of unraveling intricate plot lines brought her immense happiness. While engrossed in these stories, Vickie could escape into different worlds filled with suspense and intrigue.
Services will be held Jan. 26 at Nobles Funeral Home, 85 Anthony Street, Baxley. The service begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. The ceremony aims to honor Vickie’s life and the impact she had on those around her.
Vickie is survived by her beloved husband, Donald Herrington; daughter, Jessica Clements; son, Anthony “AJ” Herrington; grandson, James Clements (Serina); granddaughter, Jessalynn Herrington; sisters, Helen Davis and Margaret Herrington; nieces and nephews; and extended family members.
She was predeceased by her mother, Jewell Faye Adams Hollar and father, William “Bill” Johnson; dad, Ned R. Hollar; sisters, Cathy Johnson and Lynn Johnson; brothers, William “Billy” Johnson and Steve Johnson; nephew, Rodney Davis; and niece, Maria Brailsford.
Vickie’s warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by her family and friends. Her legacy of compassion and dedication to her loved ones will live on in their hearts.
The family expresses gratitude for the love, support, and prayers they have received during this difficult time.
