Mrs. Shirley Marie Hench Shope, 87

Mrs. Shirley Marie Hench Shope, 87, of Hazlehurst passed away Jan. 11.
Mrs. Shope was born Aug. 26, 1936, in Harrisburg, Pa., to the late George Hench and the late Esther Dahr Hench. She was a retired bookkeeper with Gold Line Drug Company. Mrs. Shope was a member of First Methodist Church of Hazlehurst and a longtime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She had been a resident of the Pavilion for seven and a half years.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon (Larry) Hayes of Hazlehurst and Susan (Danny) Kirsic of Ellijay; son Kenneth Shope of Auburndale, Fla.; brothers, James (Gail) Hench of Hazlehurst and David Hench of Harrisburg, Pa.; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held later.
