Mr. Roger Lewis White, 76

Mr. Roger Lewis White, 76, of Hazlehurst, passed away Dec. 9 at Jeff Davis Hospital.
Mr. White was born Jan. 5, 1947, in Jeff Davis County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edison White and Eva Williams White, his wife Patsy Brewer White and sister, Rochelle White Geiger.
Roger retired from Amoco/Hazlehurst Mills after 43 1/2 years of dedicated driving, where he was awarded the 6 Million Mile Safe Driving Award.
After retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He and Patsy were known countywide for sharing their garden crop with everyone. He always enjoyed providing vegetables for his family and friends or just anyone that was in need. Roger was a jokester because he always enjoyed making everyone laugh and wanted everyone to have a good time.
Survivors include his son, Patrick Lewis White of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law, Roxie White Crosby (Chuck) of Hazlehurst; his extended family, the Brewer family; brother, Roy White of Americus; sisters, Cedus Lee of Fitzgerald, Marilyn Brackett of Waycross, Glenda McLemore of Fitzgerald, Phyllis Westberry of K’ville, Leasia Beall of Hazlehurst, and Sherry Beck of Hazlehurst; granddaughters, Lindsey White, Juliana White, Callie White, Lexie Crosby and Chloe Crosby; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Dec. 12 at Hillcrest with the Rev. Scottie Pitts officiating.
Interment followed in Graham United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The Brewer Family served as Honorary Pallbearers.
Active pallbearers were Jonathan Mills, Raleigh Mills, Stacey Brewer, Chase Brown, Anthony McNeal, Austin Taylor, Ethan Ingham and Cliff Lewis.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home was in charge.
