Mr. Robert Lindsey Powell, 70

Mr. Robert Lindsey Powell, 70, of Hazlehurst passed away Dec. 13 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas.
Mr. Powell was born Nov. 24, 1953, in Telfair County to the late Robert Leroy Powell and the late Minnie Powell. He was a truck driver and mechanic for Jerry Powell Farms and was a former assistant chief for Horse Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Sue Powell of Hazlehurst; son, Brian Shane (Christina) Powell of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Briana Powell, Dessica Aldrige and Chloe Hall; and cousins, Jerry Powell, Lillian Dixon and Charles Waldorn.
A memorial service will be held at Horse Creek Volunteer Fire Department Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Glynn Stinson officiating.
